1. Aerospace electrical connectors

The bonding effect between the insulator and the sealing body in the electrical connector has always affected the rapid development of domestic brand electrical connectors, especially in aerospace, where the special requirements for electrical connectors are more stringent. The bonding effect between the insulator and the sealing body without surface treatment is very poor. Even if a specially formulated glue is used, the bonding effect does not meet the special requirements; in addition, if the bonding between the insulator and the sealing body is not tight, it is likely to cause leakage, resulting in the low compressive strength of the electrical connector.

At present, domestic brands select manufacturers of aviation electrical connectors, after technical application research and technological breakthroughs, are gradually promoting the use of plasma cleaning technology to clean the surface of connectors. Through plasma cleaning, not only can the surface oil stains be removed, but also its surface activity can be enhanced. In this way, when bonding, it is easy and very uniform to dispense glue on the connector, resulting in a greatly improved bonding effect. After being tested by several large domestic manufacturers, the tensile strength of the electrical connectors cleaned with a plasma cleaner increased several times, and the compressive strength was significantly improved.

2. Kevlar cleaning

After being formed, Kevlar must be bonded to other parts, but the material is hydrophobic and not easy to dispense glue. To achieve a good bonding effect, it must be surface treated. At this stage, the key is to use a plasma cleaner to activate and clean the surface. The surface activity of the cleaned Kevlar is enhanced, and the bonding effect is significantly improved. With the continuous improvement of the plasma treatment process parameters, its effect will be further improved and its scope of use will be wider.
