Improving the adhesion of printing ink on plastic surface
The printing surface treatment technology was first developed to solve the problem of poor adhesion of printing and coating on the surface of plastic film. The basic materials of plastics are mainly polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyester (PET), etc. Their surface characteristics vary greatly due to the polar groups of the molecular structure substrate, the degree of crystallization and the chemical stability of the plastic. These factors have a great influence on the adhesion of the printing ink layer. During the surface treatment process, when the plasma contacts other substances, the input energy is transmitted to the surface of the contacted material, and a series of effects are produced. After the plastic products are treated with plasma, their surface molecular structure, surface roughness, surface wettability and adhesion are significantly changed.
The introduction of polar groups to the plastic surface, or the increase of surface tension, or the increase of surface roughness and the use of plasma treatment, this process provides a new way to print difficult-to-print plastics.
Screen printing pretreatment improves ink adhesion
Plasma technology can be used in various common printing processes, such as pad printing, screen printing and offset printing. Plasma pretreatment enables low-adhesion water-based inks to adhere reliably and durably to surfaces that are difficult to adhere to, such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyamide (PA), polycarbonate (PC), glass or metal. Due to the high efficiency of the plasma process, it also increases the printing speed of the product. For example, when printing on certain packaging materials, it is possible to increase the printing speed by 30%. Improved quality of the complete printed image.
Solve the problem of debonding at the glue-gluing interface
The problem of debonding is prone to occur when glue-gluing directly. The traditional solution is to grind the glue-gluing interface when gluing the box, which pollutes the environment around the machine, affects the running speed, and reduces work efficiency; using a plasma cleaning machine to solve the problem of debonding at the glue-gluing interface is very advantageous.
After plasma treatment, the surface tension of the material can be increased, the bonding strength of the paper box can be enhanced, and thus the product quality can be improved; cold adhesive or low-grade ordinary adhesive can be used instead of hot melt adhesive, and the amount of glue used can be reduced, effectively reducing production costs; UV glazing, PP lamination and other difficult-to-bond materials can be firmly bonded using water-based glue, and mechanical grinding, punching and other processes can be eliminated, and dust and waste are not generated, which meets the hygienic and safety requirements of packaging for medicines and foods, and is beneficial to environmental protection.
