During the production of shoes, there is a procedure to glue the upper and the sole together. If the factory does not select the right raw materials and the process is not properly controlled, for example, the rubber sole and the leather can only be glued together with neoprene, while the imitation leather sole and polyurethane sole with more resin content are difficult to work, and polyurethane finger glue or other adhesives must be used to stick them firmly.
One adhesive is not suitable for all materials. Before bonding, the sole and the upper must be polished and raised, and the glue must be applied multiple times and baked, and then pressed with a press to stick them firmly. The quality of the bonding of leather shoes is controlled by the peel strength index, which is measured by a peel tester. If these links are not handled properly, it is easy to cause the shoes to come apart. That is to say, even if your upper and sole are made of good materials, if the glue is not properly selected, the result will be the same. In fact, there is a way to start from the cause of shoe debonding and use a plasma surface treatment machine to treat the shoe debonding. The main functions of the plasma surface treatment machine to activate and clean shoes are as follows:
1. Surface etching
Under the action of plasma, some chemical bonds on the surface of the material are broken, forming small molecular products or being oxidized into CO, CO:, etc., making the surface of the material uneven and increasing the roughness.
2. Surface activation and cleaning
Under the action of plasma, some active atoms, free radicals and unsaturated bonds appear on the surface of difficult-to-stick plastics. These active groups will react to generate new active groups when they come into contact with active particles in the plasma. However, materials with active groups will be affected by the action of oxygen or the movement of molecular segments, causing the surface active groups to disappear. Therefore, the surface activity of materials treated with plasma has a certain timeliness. 3. Surface grafting In the plasma modification of material surface, due to the action of active particles in the plasma on surface molecules, the surface molecular chains are broken to produce new free radicals, double bonds and other active groups, followed by surface cross-linking, grafting and other reactions. 4. Surface polymerization A layer of sediment will be produced on the surface of the material. The presence of the sediment layer is conducive to improving the bonding ability of the material surface. When low-temperature plasma is used to treat difficult-to-bond plastics, the above four forms of action will appear at the same time. After using a plasma surface treatment machine to deal with the problem of shoe debonding, there is no need to use internationally imported high-end glue. Ordinary glue can ensure that the shoes are firm.
